Crimp tooling for motorsport harness work. The crimp is the most common point of failure in a harness, and it's the one thing you can't inspect once the connector is assembled. A proper ratcheting tool with the correct die doesn't release until the cycle is complete, which is what makes the result repeatable.

Matching the tool to the terminal. Deutsch solid contacts in size 12, 16 and 20 all run on an AF8 frame with the TH1A turret, or an MH860 with the 86-2 die. Superseal terminals use the TE 58583-1. Open-barrel and stamped terminals need a die profile that forms the wire and insulation crimps separately — a generic pliers-style crimper won't do this, and the joint will fail under vibration.
