Genuine Deutsch DT series connectors, stocked in Canada. Size 16 contacts, 13 A per circuit, IP67 sealed, rated -55°C to +125°C, in 2 to 12 way configurations.

Choosing between DTM, DT and DTP. Start with the DTM — size 20 contacts, 7.5 A per circuit, and it covers the majority of circuits in a typical harness: sensors, signals, CAN, switch inputs. Step up to the DT when the circuit needs more current or you're running heavier wire — size 16 contacts, 13 A, 14-20 AWG. Go to DTP for genuine power circuits — size 12 contacts, 25 A — fuel pumps, fans, main feeds. Most harnesses use all three, with DTM making up the bulk of the connector count.

We stock the E008 shrink boot adapter version exclusively. The E008 rear entry is designed to take a moulded heat shrink boot, which is how a harness gets a properly sealed, strain-relieved finish at the back of the connector. Plain DT housings are cheaper and fine for general repair work, but if you're building a harness you want to finish properly, the E008 is the part you actually want.

Tooling. AF8 crimper with the TH1A turret, or an MH860 with the 86-2 die. Contacts are solid machined nickel, not stamped. You'll also want a size 16 removal tool.
